Use Zoom as the last resort
It’s very appealing to use the zoom function to take a picture. But, using the zoom function will dramatically decrease the quality of the picture. So, if you can get closer to the object of which you are taking the picture, go ahead and do it. You will get a more high-quality picture by doing that.
Enable Viewfinder grid lines
Almost all of the android phones' camera apps come with the grid line option. By default, it will always be disabled. But, it can help you a lot to capture certain pictures. There are different types of grid line options such as 3×3 grid, phi grid (related to the golden ratio) etc. These grid lines can help you take perfect pictures of sunsets or the horizon without any difficulty. So, if you haven’t enabled it, you can turn it on from now on.
Use a mini tripod
If you are actually serious about taking mobile photography to the next level then you must get a smartphone tripod. These are not expensive and comes in different shapes and sizes. You can buy one as per your preference.
With the help of a mini tripod, you can take time-lapse or long exposure shots efficiently. Other than that, you can use the tripod for normal shooting too. Because if your camera is stable, your pictures will be smooth and the quality will elevate. And, you know that our hands are not as stable as we think. So, it is better to use a mini tripod whenever it’s possible.
On top of that, you can use a tripod to take selfies as well. So, if you want to improve the quality of your pictures or just want to add a new flavor to your journey of mobile photography, you should get a mini tripod as soon as possible.
Don't use flash if you can
Sometimes, we need to take photos at low light/night. In some instances, it is impossible to avoid using the flash of your mobile camera. But, as you might already know that the flashlight that comes with your mobile phone is not that suitable for photography.
It will either over-expose your subject or it will under-expose. If you have other light-source near your subject, try to take advantage of that.
On the contrary, you can use tap to focus function and play with the exposure/brightness directly from your smart phone’s screen. Last of all, you have the ability to edit any low-light photos later with any photo editing apps. So, whenever it’s possible, don't use the flash.
Take more than one photo
It might sound dumb. But you should take more than one pictures at a time of any particular moment. Because it is impossible to get the perfect shot with just a click. By taking multiple photos at a time, you are also increasing the chance of capturing a few candid moments.
Clean the Camera Lens
Another simple thing. But most of us forget it. You should clean your camera lens from time to time. It is very much likely to cover the camera lens with dust, fingerprints etc. If you capture pictures with a dirty lens, your photos will come out with noise and blurriness.
So, take a few minutes to clean the lens and you will get smooth, sharp and clear pictures every time. You should clean both the front and back camera of your phone. We can guarantee you that you will be surprised by the improvement of the quality of your pictures after that.
