Many people ask if I believe in aliens. Well, not really, but just play along. Personally, I believe they do. But they look just like us, talk just like us, and have a society very similar to ours. Except they have gills. Thatโs pretty much it. Now is there any point to this opening other than to waste time? Kind of. Todayโs game has aliens in it. In fact, itโs called Alien Rain. And, from the title, I assume you play the role of an interstellar weatherman. Now thereโs a brilliant idea for a game! Anyways, letโs take a look at Alien Rain for Windows devices.

The Basics
One thing that definitely stood out about Alien Rain is the way the aliens themselves are portrayed. They have that basic cartoony look you see in many, well, cartoons. Theyโre all colorful and actually quite adorable. Honestly, I wouldnโt mind if they actually look like this. Itโd be much less scary than in Predator.

The Gameplay
So how do you stop the impending doom of an alien invasion? You tap them with your thumb of course! However, you wonโt simply be tapping mindlessly at our intergalactic attackers. Different aliens will require different taps. For example, some larger aliens will require you to press and hold them, while others require you to tap them twice. Wow, War Of The Worlds would have been a lot shorter if they knew that was the way to defeat the aliens.

Is It Fun?
I had a decent time while playing Alien Rain. Thereโs a decent amount of challenge, especially considering the amount of aliens that can appear on screen. And thereโs a decent amount of variety, as different aliens require different attacks. Maybe just one more layer of variety, such as an explosive weapon you can set off when your thumbs get tired. Yeah, I like the sound of that. Iโm going to send that idea in.

The Bottom Line
Alien Rain for Windows devices surprised me quite a bit. While I was expecting something generic and unplayable, I got a game that turned out to be pretty addictive. I found myself having quite a bit of fun while tapping away at invading aliens. And saving the world, I assume. Iโd definitely recommend the game for a quick playthrough at least. But I donโt want to tell you what to do. Iโm not the boss of you.
