How To Use Pigment (iOS)
In a recent review, I talked about the interesting new trend of adult coloring books. Itโs become very popular for mobile users looking for a way to destress and perhaps feel a bit nostalgic. And, considering there are now tons of them available on the App Store, Iโd say the trend is still going on. But what do I know? Iโm but a simple app reviewer. Letโs take a look at Pigment for iOS devices.
What Is Pigment?
Pigment is, as I alluded to in the beginning with my wonderful words, a coloring book for adults. Or children really. I suppose either can enjoy it.ย Where was I going with this? Ah yes, Pigment. The app is all about choosing different colors to fill in different portions of your coloring book page Microsoft Paint-style. And expressing yourself creatively. You know, if youโre into that kind of thing.
How Do You Use It?
You begin by opening the app and choosing one of the โcoloring booksโ youโd like to color in. There is no shortage of categories, from flowers to the ocean. After that, you can simply color away! While you are presented with a number of colors initially, you can always change to different palettes if youโd like. This is done by tapping the palette next to the โcolor barโ where you can adjust the different tones of your color.
The Bottom Line
Overall, I think the trend of coloring books for adults is pretty cool. Although, I also still love Pokemon and Power Rangers, so perhaps I just have a soft spot for reconnecting with my childhood. And Pigment is a pretty good app for fulfilling your coloring book needs. Now, there is one minor thing that may make or break it for you: while you may begin on a 7-day trial, the app will cost money after that. And no, I donโt much care for spending money either.
