IMDb Android Review

It’s no secret that the internet is a giant collection of information. With the simple click of a button you have instant access to so many facts at once, it’s a bit mind blowing. Which makes it extremely weird when, on any given television show, you see an older episode where they go to the library for information. Seems crazy nowadays, doesn’t it? Anyways, speaking of TV, a great way to get information about TV and movies is IMDb, which has information on, well, TV and movies. Man, what a segue, huh? Let’s take a look at the IMDb app for Android devices.

What Is IMDb?

Best known for the website of the same name, IMDb is a collection of information on everything from actors and actresses to upcoming movies. There’s current entertainment news, production information, and even the occasional bits of trivia. And who couldn’t use more pop culture trivia?

How Is The App?

I must say I’m quite impressed with the IMDb app. Sometimes a website such as IMDb doesn’t fully translate into app form, but the developers did a great job of making it a seamless IMDb experience. In other words, it’s still easy to find who played that person in that thing that was also in that other thing. We’ve all been there.

The Bottom Line

When you’re trying to get that much needed entertainment info, IMDb is the way to go. Now, don’t get me wrong, I’m also a very big fan of Wikipedia for getting some pop culture info. However, Wikipedia doesn’t have the reputation as IMDb because, well, anyone can edit it. Plus the IMDb app is simply much better. (Don’t worry, I’ll get to the Wikipedia app another time.) So, if you like facts and trivia about the world of entertainment as much as I do, IMDb is the way to go.
