iOS 10 Alarm Issues
Letโs talk about alarm clocks. We wouldnโt be able to wake up on time and get to work efficiently without them. Even if we hit the snooze button two or three or fifty times first. Now that phones have replaced the now obsolete old-timey alarm clocks, we need to make sure they work correctly. The newly-released iOS 10 has an interesting M Knight Shyamalan-style twist on the classic alarm clock. Is it good? Should you use it? Am I asking too many questions? Letโs take a look.
The Basics
For those not in the know, or those in the know that just forgot, iOS 10 is now available on Apple devices. The update has many new features, such as the ability to use special stickers, additional calendar features, and it can even toast bread if youโre making a nice panini. OK, it doesnโt do that. But if it did, everyone would have it downloaded by now. However, does the new update feature an interesting yet troubled feature? And, most importantly, will I ever get to the point?
Whatโs Happening?
The newest version of iOS features a very interesting feature: an alarm that reminds you when itโs time to go to bed. This is a great idea, especially considering some of us arenโt very good at going to bed and will end up spending the whole night watching sitcom marathons if we arenโt properly reminded. However, some strange functionality and issues with bugs have caused many users to wake up completely alarm-free. Thatโs a tough one to explain to your boss.
The Bottom Line
While having a bedtime alarm is a brilliant idea, itโs a shame that it launched with these kinds of issues. The good news is that it will likely be fixed soon, as Apple would probably like to keep their iOS users happy. After all, if people canโt make it to work, they wonโt be able to buy more iPhones.
