It’s easy to be overwhelmed by notifications on your iPhone. And, you will notice that most of these are not important to you. To get rid of that situation, you can easily turn off notifications from any specific apps on your iPhone or iPad. Conversely, there are some notifications which could be very crucial for you. So, you wouldn’t want to miss them by any chance.
On that instance, you can actually do the opposite of turning off the notification. And that is enabling the persistent notification setting for any particular apps on your iPhone or iPad. As a result, the notifications from that particular app won’t hide or go away from the screen unless you interact with those.
Fortunately, it is very easy to set the persistent notification setting on your iPhone or iPad. And, in this post, we will share the exact steps you need to follow to do that.
So, let’s get started…
Steps to Follow:
- Navigate to the ‘Settings’ menu of your device
- Then tap on the ‘Notifications’ option from there
- Now, find the app of which you want to enable the persistent notification setting and tap on the name of the app
- On the next screen, tap on the ‘Banner Style’ option under the ‘Alerts’ field
- Then tap on ‘Persistent’ option from the next screen
- To change the notification settings for additional apps, you can go back and do the same for all the other apps
That’s it. You are done. That’ how easy it is!
Note:
You must have the ‘Banners’ option selected under the ‘Alerts’ field. Other than that, you can’t change the ‘Banner Style’ option to ‘Persistent’. It does not matter if you have the other 2 options (Lock Screen, Notification Center) enabled or not. But, you need to have the ‘Banners’ option enabled.
Last Words:
There are notifications which are not important at all. On the other hand, there are notifications which we need to stay on the screen until we interact with them. That’ why persistent notification setting can be very useful for you.
