Steps to follow:
- Navigate to the โSettingsโ menu, ย and scroll down and tap on โMessagesโ option
- Then tap on the โText Message Forwardingโ option
- In this page, you will find a list of devices from/to which you can send and receive text messages
- Now, you need to tap on the name of the device on which you want to send and receive text messages. If the slider turns to green then it is enabled. You can tap again on the slider to disable any particular device
If you don't find the device you are searching for on the list, then you will need to sign in to the messages app of your iPad/Mac with the same Apple ID as your iPhone. Letโs see how to do that.
Steps for iPad users:
- Head over to the โSettingsโ option on your iPad
- Scroll down a bit to find out the โMessagesโ option and tap on it
- Then you need to enter the same Apple ID and Password here that you are using on your iPhone

- Open iMessage/Messages app on your Mac
- Then from the menu bar, navigate to โMessages > Preferencesโ
- Next, you need to sign in with your Apple ID and Password (same as your iPhone) on the iMessage tab
- After you have signed in, you will get a notification on your iPhone and Mac. So, click or tap on โOKโ to close the notification popup
