WAVE Calendar iOS Review

To be totally honest, I’ve never been all that good at using calendars. While I do enjoy the occasional adorable animal calendar, I’ve never been very good at actually using them for their intended use of marking down important dates and keeping track of my life. Possibly because of my own absolute lack of organization. But we don’t need to get into that right now. Let’s take a look at the WAVE calendar app for iOS devices.

What Is WAVE?

As you may imagine from the fact that it’s literally called the WAVE Calendar, WAVE is a calendar app. Didn’t take too much of a stretch of the imagination, did it? The app allows you to easily keep track of all your appointments, color code, and more. However, I’m not really sure why it’s called WAVE. I guess it’s just one of those tech-sounding names. Right?

How Is The App?

Overall, WAVE offers everything you’d expect in a calendar app: all the basics of tracking events and keeping schedules. However, that’s just the thing, you can already do all that stuff with your basic calendar app. OK, there is one pretty cool thing. You can download a few different “subscriptions” to things such as moon phases and sports schedules. But, outside of that, you’re not going to find much original in this calendar app.

The Bottom Line

I know I shouldn’t expect too much from something as simple as a calendar app. However, the fact is that when there’s something already downloaded on your mobile device, you need to do something unique to set yourself apart. This is the case for everything from alarm clocks to calculator to, yes, calendars. So, outside of the interesting downloads, I feel like WAVE could use one more thing to set it apart from the rest of the pack.
